Gravity

He long wanted to tell her she had hurt him, but he waited until she was so frail that she could only break from learning of a pain that she had caused when she was someone else. He carried around what scarred him, including the scars. He played the role of the exemplary, skilled individual who constantly succeeded in the marks of success the culture silently agreed upon. He did everything he could, but she still made him ache with truth that he could not release. At last he spoke and drew away and broke her heart, as she had long ago broken his own. Each was all the other had, framed by the corners they retreated to, to find a form of healing.

Each morning during yoga I hear Paul say "steadily pleasant" as he encourages not to stretch too far, which I would normally do, as the extremist I have been, but I am dutiful, obeying the voice and watching Sankari pose and stretch and share a concentrated beauty from within. For decades I believed this practice a pretense as I logged miles, lifted weights, and wore myself out. Now I quietly absorb voiced instruction complete with tiny voiced mistakes and a light chuckle in the reprise of video recorded on July 23rd. Left shoulder hurts, and I have faith in its repeat fluidity when ready. New morning, the same as platonic morning living in the mind of a night person devoted to beginnings and the rasp of daylight soon to evolve into late afternoon and a softer darkness. Here now, each moment, practicing with breath alleviating the sadness.

Smooth Coat, Alert, and Graceful

Charm, sass, orderly being with full-scale training to make the breed proud, earns the chihuahua this  questionable station in life. Despite showing restraint from devouring fancy food, holding within the upper limit of six pounds. The one clutching the leash wears too short shorts and speaks at full volume into the cellphone via Bluetooth. Sun inadvertently slips down out of sight. According to the American Kennel Club, firm gait, sturdy action, balanced reach from front to rear meets qualifications. Karma speaks inaudibly to viewers empathizing with the chihuahua as the mismatched pair go trotting down the avenue.
