Gravity
He long wanted to tell her she had hurt him, but he waited until she was so frail that she could only break from learning of a pain that she had caused when she was someone else. He carried around what scarred him, including the scars. He played the role of the exemplary, skilled individual who constantly succeeded in the marks of success the culture silently agreed upon. He did everything he could, but she still made him ache with truth that he could not release. At last he spoke and drew away and broke her heart, as she had long ago broken his own. Each was all the other had, framed by the corners they retreated to, to find a form of healing.
